Tenniix App V2.0.0: 25 Official Tennis Skill Drills, Ready to Select
Tenniix App V2.0.0 introduces Skill Drills — 25 official tennis routines and 5 pickleball routines, available to both Basic and Pro users. Instead of building every feed from scratch, you can select a ready-made drill and start training immediately. This article breaks down what's new, what the tennis library covers, and how to get started with Skill Drills after updating.
Before you can start a drill, you have to build it. Ball type, placement, interval, sequence — every session starts the same way: minutes of setup before you've hit a single ball.
Tenniix App V2.0.0 removes the need to build every session from scratch. The update adds a library of 25 official tennis drills and 5 official pickleball drills, a refreshed training interface, and support for eight languages — so you can pick a training goal and be on court in seconds, not minutes.
What's New in V2.0.0
The headline feature is Skill Drills — a ready-to-select library of official routines. Alongside it, V2.0.0 brings:
- A redesigned Start Training screen that clearly separates Skill Drills, Custom Drills, Tracking Drills and Recovery Drills
- Expands the App to eight supported languages
- An updated Recovery Drill experience
- Smarter voice interaction, with better command recognition and feedback when a command doesn't go through
That's not the full list — V2.0.0 also includes upgraded LED animations and under-the-hood performance improvements. Together, these changes make the App clearer, more responsive and easier to use.
But Skill Drills is the centrepiece of this update because it directly changes how you build and begin a training session.
Why an Official Drill Library Changes Your Training
Adding more routines is the easy part. The real value is what those routines take off your plate — and what they add once you're on court.
You Stop Rebuilding the Same Session
If you tend to practice similar patterns, configuring the same feed sequence every time is wasted time. With Skill Drills, that structure already exists — open the App, select a drill, and start.
You Don't Need to Know How to Design a Drill
You might know you want to work on baseline defense or net transitions without knowing how to sequence the individual feeds that make that happen. Skill Drills gives you that structure pre-built, so your focus stays on movement and execution — not drill design.
You Can Train Combinations, Not Just Isolated Shots
A fixed feed repeats one stroke well. But most points don't stay on one shot — you defend, then attack; volley, then cover an overhead. The library includes multi-shot combination drills built specifically to train that connection, not just the individual pieces.
You Get a Repeatable Baseline
Because an official drill stays fixed, you can return to the exact same sequence weeks later. That consistency is what lets you actually judge whether your timing and footwork have improved — the drill isn't changing, so you can tell what is.
Inside the Library: 25 Tennis Drills, 5 Pickleball Drills
Tennis and pickleball each get their own dedicated library — the 36 drills aren't mixed into one collection. Tennis machines access the 25 tennis drills; pickleball machines access the 5 pickleball drills.
| Sport | Official Skill Drills | Supported Models |
|---|---|---|
| Tennis | 25 | Tenniix Basic and Tenniix Pro |
| Pickleball | 5 | Tenniix Pickleball Basic and Tenniix Pickleball Pro |
The tennis library moves through three stages: stationary drills for repeating a defined ball type, movement drills that add forehand-and-backhand transitions, and combination drills that connect several shots in one sequence. You can browse the full list or filter by Beginner (NTRP 2.0–3.5), Intermediate (NTRP 3.5–4.5) or Pro (NTRP 4.5+), and by drill type.
Pickleball's 5 drills cover the same range for that sport — fixed-position drives, topspin and backspin control, volleys, lobs and short-game feeds around the kitchen line.
Two Drills, Two Real Match Situations
Baseline Defensive Counter-Punch
Think of the opponent who never lets you settle into a rhythm — one ball deep, the next short, pulling you forward and back. Baseline Defensive Counter-Punch is built for exactly that: it combines deep forehand and backhand feeds with shorter balls on both sides, changing depth within a predefined sequence instead of repeating one landing spot. You practice recovering your position and resetting your split step against depth changes you don't control — which is the actual problem that player creates.
Volley to Overhead Smash
This is the sequence that usually breaks down after a good approach shot: you close the net, get a weak reply, and now you need to finish with an overhead before your opponent recovers. Volley to Overhead Smash trains that exact transition — volley, then overhead — as one routine, instead of practicing the two shots in separate sessions where you never actually rehearse the switch between them.
Available on Basic and Pro — No Upgrade Required
All 25 tennis drills and all 5 pickleball drills are available on both Basic and Pro for their sport. You don't need Pro to use Skill Drills — Pro's AI Vision Module and tracking features are separate capabilities layered on top, not a gate on the drill library.
Starting a Drill Takes Four Steps
- Connect your Tenniix machine to the App
- Select Start Training, then open Skill Drills
- Filter by level or drill type, and review the drill's settings
- Start training
The official version of a drill stays fixed, so it's the same routine every time you return to it. Want to tweak one? Transfer a supported drill to Custom Drills and adjust your copy there — manual-feeding routines can't be transferred.
